Available to book For your brand, or a client's
AI visibility audit
We run buyer questions for your category in the ChatGPT app, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, record who is mentioned and who is cited, and give you a ranked list of what to fix first on your site.
What an AI visibility audit is
An AI visibility audit checks what AI answers say about a brand in response to buyer questions about its category, and which sources those answers cite. This one also reviews your site, lists the gaps between what the answers cite and what your site offers, and ranks what to fix first.
A good fit, and a poor one
A good fit if
- You're a marketing lead whose business already pays for SEO.
- Someone senior asked how you show up in AI answers, and you had no answer you could back up.
- A competitor keeps being named in AI answers for your category.
- You're an agency, and a client wants an audit for their brand.
A poor fit if
- You want a guaranteed place in AI answers. We never promise one.
- You want content written for you. The audit works alongside whoever writes your content.
Six parts
From buyer questions to a booked recheck.
Buyer questions
We run 20 to 30 buyer questions for your category in the ChatGPT app, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and record who is mentioned and who is cited in each answer.
Your site and Search Console
We review your site and its key pages by hand, and cross-check what we find with your Search Console data.
The gaps
We list the gaps between what the answers cite and what your site offers.
An AI crawler check of your key pages
On your key pages, we check what appears only once the page fully loads, which AI search and assistant crawlers your site lets in, and whether your structured data is in order. A block on crawlers used for AI training is your choice, and we don't report it as an AI search problem.
A ranked fix list
You get the fixes in ranked order, each with an owner.
One recheck
We book one recheck when you buy the audit, to look again after your fixes are made.
Repeated, local and recorded
Repeated runs
AI answers change between runs, so the top 10 questions run three times on each platform. The rest run once.
Run from Australia
Australian questions are run from Australia. Unwoven AI is based in Melbourne.
Mentions and citations kept apart
Being named in an answer and being cited as a source are recorded separately.
Monthly tracking, and a re-audit each quarter
Monthly tracking
The same questions are re-run. You see what changed, and the fix list is updated.
A re-audit
Monthly tracking includes a re-audit each quarter.
No guarantees about AI answers
We never promise citations, placement in AI answers, rankings, traffic or revenue.
AI answers change from one run to the next. The audit shows where you stand, the gaps between what the answers cite and what your site offers, and what to fix first. It can't decide what an answer will say.
Frequently asked questions
- What do you need from me?
- Two things: your website, with its main competitors, and read-only access to your Google Search Console property. We don't need an export or a call. If you're an agency, send the same two things for the client the audit is for.
- How is this different from an SEO audit?
- This audit starts from AI answers: what they say about you, which sources they cite, and who they name. It then adds a review of your site, a Search Console cross-check, the gaps between what the answers cite and what your site offers, and an AI crawler check of your key pages.
- Which AI platforms do you check?
- The ChatGPT app, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. We run Australian questions in each one from Australia. The top 10 questions run three times on each platform and the rest once, and the answers from each platform are recorded separately.
- What does the AI crawler check look at?
- Your key pages: what appears only once each page fully loads, which AI search and assistant crawlers your site lets in, and whether your structured data is in order. A block on crawlers used for AI training is your choice, and we don't report it as an AI search problem.
- Will the audit get us cited in AI answers?
- We can't promise that, and we won't. AI answers change from one run to the next, so no audit can decide what they will say. What the audit gives you is where you stand today, the gaps between what the answers cite and what your site offers, a ranked fix list, and a recheck after the fixes.
- Can an agency book the audit for a client?
- Yes. An agency can book the audit for one of its clients. The scope is the same as for an in-house team: 20 to 30 buyer questions, a review of the client's site, a Search Console cross-check, the gaps between what the answers cite and what the site offers, an AI crawler check of key pages, a ranked fix list with owners and one booked recheck.
- Why run some questions three times?
- Because AI answers change between runs. Running the top 10 questions three times on each platform shows whether their answers change from run to run. The other questions run once. Three runs give an indication, not a full measure of how much answers vary.
- What happens after the audit?
- One recheck is booked when you buy the audit, to look again after your fixes are made. After that, you can move to monthly tracking: the same questions re-run each month, what changed, and an updated fix list. Monthly tracking includes a re-audit each quarter.
- How do I book?
- Use the Book an audit button. It opens an email to us with the subject line "Audit request" already filled in. There is no form and no account to create. Tell us your website and its main competitors and, if you're an agency, which client the audit is for.
